Joseph Adam Jonas, also known as “Joe” Jonas, is an all-around celebrity artist: he is a singer, actor, dancer and musician. He, along with his two brothers (Nick and Kevin) plays in a band called “The Jonas Brothers”. He was born in Arizona, to a former teacher and a musician. His brother Nicholas went to release a solo album as a child, and in 2005 Columbia Records president Steve Greenberg listened to the album (which contained a song written and sung by the three brothers as a group) and signed The Jonas Brothers as a group. They were an instant success, and sold lots of albums. Their first album, released in mid 2006, as a “limited release” of only 50,000 copies. Differences between the group and the record label made them drop their collaboration in early 2007, following which the group signed with Hollywood Records. The switch proved to be a good move, as their second album quickly hit number five on the Billboard charts. Their third album was even more successful, as it hit number one. Their fourth album also became a huge success, as it hit #1 and sold close to a quarter of a million albums and making them celebrities.

In May of 2010, Joe Jonas confirmed rumours that he was planning to release a solo album. The album is yet to be released. As an actor, Joe Jonas has many roles to his resume. He guest starred in a Hannah Montana episode, along with his two brothers. The three brothers also filmed a Disney movie called Camp Rock, where they play a band named “Connect Three”. Joe is the lead singer of the band in the move, “Shane Gray”. The group released the soundtrack to the movie back in 2008, and when it premiered it was a success with both fans and crytics. So much of a success, in fact, that in 2008 Disney released the sequel to the movie: “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”.

Joe Jonas, along with his two brothers, also starred in a reality show called “Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream”, that was also released by the Disney Channel back in 2008. The show followed the brothers’ lives and especially their tour called “Look Me In The Eyes”. In 2010, the reality show was released for a second season, and this time it followed the three brothers around in their European Tour of 2009.

Joe once again starred in a Disney feature, again with his two brothers. This time, the movie was called JONAS, and it followed the three around as they played a pop band trying to live “under the radar” as normal teenagers. The show has only had one season released so far, however the second season’s filmings started in February of 2010, and it is expected to be released soon.

Joe guest starred as a judge on the popular celeb tv show American Idol. He, along with the other judges, oversaw the auditions in Dallas. He has also made an appearance in a music video by Vampire Weekend. Guest starring by Joe Jonas continues in 2010 with his appearance on the “Hot In Cleveland” show by TV Land.
