In Preparation for another Jewel

Another Jewel is on the way! Jewel is preparing for her hectic schedule as singer, songwriter and now add motherhood to the resume and she’s already on for multi-tasking.

The 37-year old singer and songwriter, Jewel is expecting her first born – a baby boy – coming this July. While she is gearing up for parenting, she is part of the judge and host of the Bravo TV show entitled “The Platinum Hit” which premiered on Monday. She is also preparing to release a new album dedicated for children in the fall – a busy body indeed with one on the way.

She dated Ty Murray, who is a world champion bull rider, for 10 years and finally got married in August of 2008. Finally after almost 3 years of wait, Jewel is going to give birth to a baby boy coming July. The couple stated that they wanted to raise a family right after marriage but due to some personal reasons they ended up waiting for quite a while.

In her most recent interview, Jewel stated that they were both careful about the decision to raise a family and they were cautious about the topic. She thinks that the thought kind of scared the both of them. She also said that they wanted to make sure they reach the satisfying point of their careers where they can take a step back in order to raise a child.

She stated that raising a child requires timing even though they are not getting any younger. She recently wrote and recorded a children’s album containing the “Lullaby” at her home in Stephenville, Texas trying to get pregnant. When she finally got pregnant, she wrote and recorded another pregnancy-inspired pieces such as “The Merry Goes ‘Round” which is included in the album that is due to be released in fall.

This is indeed a multi-tasking part of her life. She said that she wanted to work on songs in different levels in such a way that babies would like it, get them bouncing to the rhythm of the song, get them into the storytelling mode as they grow older and perhaps include pop songs that any parent would like.

Jewel is a jewel when it comes to creating precious musical gems. She became known in 1996 with her self-written breakout hit entitled “Who Will Save Your Soul” and until now she still is on the road to success both in the country and pop genres.
