Surprised Tom Cruise Celebrates 49th Birthday

Katie Holmes threw a surprise birthday party for her husband’s birthday – Tom Cruise. It was Tom Cruise’s 49th birthday party and Holmes just wanted to make everything right. The surprise party was held a day early from Tom Cruise’s official birth date. It was all thanks for Katie Holmes, 32.

According to reports, the birthday party was held inside and on the rooftop of the SoHo Beach House. The theme of the occasion was intimate and secret – or what it would’ve been. The venue is a private members club and hotel which is located in Miami Beach Florida.

It was reported that the party was attended by over three dozen or around 40 of Tom Cruise’s closest friends including his three children namely – Suri, Connor and Isabella. The party was clad with Italian food, shrimp, Cuban food and chocolate birthday cake which suited perfectly for the occasion. It was reported that some friends of Cruise had to decline the invite including Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. It was indeed a weekend of fun after Cruise’s long hours filming his upcoming movie.

According to another report, Katie planned the surprise birthday party herself and she pulled it off just right. It was said that she included creating the RSVPs since she wanted everything to be perfect or at least right for the occasion. It was further added that she was very excited to make everything perfect for his husband’s birthday even if it was going to be celebrated a day early.

Tom is currently on a film project for the big screen version of “Rock of Ages” in Florida which is a musical film that will hit theatres in June next year. He will appear as Stacee Jaxx who is a heavy metal star where he will belt out songs of Jon Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” on big screen. Well, apart from the surprise birthday party, it would also be a kind of surprise for the fans of the Mission Impossible star considering that “he can sing.” The director of the movie is Adam Shankman and he said that it was a miracle that he can pull off a musical like that.

Well – this nullifies any rumor that the couple is breaking up or is even affected by the “drugs” rumor where Cruise is feeding Katie Holmes some boost making him a source of her addiction. The couple and the rest of the family have celebrated a very fun weekend.

Marriage is a sacred thing for many. Though there are people who don’t believe in its power, there are those who know that it is a relationship created both for man and woman. Recently, Megan Fox hinted that she will renew her marriage vows with her husband Brian Austin Green while they are in Hawaii. Whether true or not, it is great news as they are one of the few married Hollywood stars who value their marriage even in the midst of all breakups and relationship mess. They were married in June 2010 in a private ceremony held at the Four Seasons Resort at Hawaii.

This is no wonder that Megan Fox is going to renew her marriage vows with Green while they visit Hawaii on the first year of their marriage. Green and Fox returned to Hawaii together with Green’s son Kassius. Fox went to Hawaii to receive an honor to the Maui Film Festival that showed her work on the documentary “Na Nai’a: Legend of Dolphins.”

There is a high possibility that they are going to spend their wedding anniversary in the island and probably renew their marriage vows while they are at it. Megan Fox recently told the media that Green was very sensitive and emotional about the entire thing. She said that Green’s zodiac sign is Cancer which is the reason why he is all about feelings and relationships and he cries with just about anything that’s emotional.

The reason why she wanted to renew the vows in Hawaii is because Green wanted to do it. She said that Green wanted to do so she’s going to do it for him – talk about sweet things.

Megan Fox is the Transformers actress also said that the family plans to swim with the dolphins during their stay in the island. She added that Green is terrified in the thought of sharks but they are still going to go for it considering the fact that sharks don’t usually go anywhere near an area where there are a lot of dolphins so she convinced Green that they’re going to do it.

She also said that she didn’t used to be scared of sharks but right now she is because of his fear. Green’s fear is so intense that it has become contagious which made Fox scared as well.

On the other hand, Green had recently commented that he was “proud” being Megan Fox’s husband.

Wedding of the Breaking Dawn for Real

Twilight marriage is for real though it is not about Bella and Edward or Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson respectively. It is about Nikki Reed the one who played the role of Rosalie. For all of you who are about to scream about Kristen and Robert marrying – don’t because as much as Twilight die-hard fans want that to be true this isn’t the Breaking Dawn marriage that we expected.

Just recently, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald, American Idol’s top-8 contender, began dating.

And, in the recent 2011 MTV Movie awards red carpet event, Twilight’s Rosalie dropped serious information about her and Paul McDonald. She had an answer ready when she was asked whether she thinks they will get married. She said that McDonald is already the one and repeated the answer twice. She further added that Paul has been writing songs to dedicate to her and he was going to release a Nikki Reed EP though if these things continue the way they are now we may be expecting a whole album to be released later on.

It was then confirmed that the two are indeed engaged. Rumor has it that they only knew each other for barely 3 months and now they are talking about marriage. Many fans have expressed their disappointment while there are a few who congratulated the two if ever the marriage will be pushed through.

Nonetheless, it has surprised many people how Nikki Reed agreed on the engagement after dating a couple of months but who knows what’s the real deal?

However, just because Nikki Reed has expressed that Paul is the one doesn’t mean that they are getting married right here and now. If we all recognize the pattern of Hollywood marriage, it starts with a long engagement and if nothing goes in between then everything is settled. The fact that people are putting so much weight a mere statement is somewhat unfair for the couple – although they should have thought it through before dropping a serious bomb.

But then again they are entitled to their own lives aren’t they? On the other hand, whether or not Nikki and Paul are getting married the Breaking Dawn’s Bella and Edward will definitely push through theirs.

X-Men – Exploring the Origins of Mutants

When the director is away, the mutants play – at least after the hard work of the day is done.

The X-Men mutant casts have been given a task to develop a “prequel” to the exciting X-Men series revolving around the origin of each mutant cast. There is just a few days left before the global release and the cast and crew thought they have nailed it.

Many of the cast have gathered in London to attend a RTD or round table discussion that has been focused on the different early life origin of the characters that come from a comic strip. The success of X-Men series portrayed by real life men and women has been apparent in the past four films by film masters like Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen who are both respected English actors.

However, the mutants are portrayed by a much younger cast this time around showing their formative years especially during the times when they are still trying to discover and train with their powers. Their “powers” are what they consider their unique abilities that set them apart from the dull and plain human race.

The X-Men: First Class is a film that reflects people who are still searching for their identities as mutants. All of them have their own battles within themselves and their wish to belong within the common society. These young mutants just wanted to be accepted by the ordinary people. Some of them want to celebrate their uniqueness whether or not the human raced will be damned.

McKellen and Stewart played the grown up key mutants Magneto and Professor X. But instead of them, their roles are portrayed by Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy who started off as allies and the best of friends yet they ended up becoming bitter enemies with no hope of reconciliation. The evil mutant Sebastian Shaw is played by Kevin Bacon who is a Hollywood veteran.

Fassbender is of German and Irish descent. He stated that he did not feel on the edge with earlier Magneto portrayals. Nonetheless the X-Men in 2000 has proven that the once Marvel comic has turned into an international film franchise and a lucrative one at that.

McAvoy on the other hand carries a heavy hit of his Scotland accent. He stated that the new casts of the X-Men “prequel” will take the full blame if the movie bombs which will take off X-Men off the chance for the franchise to get pursued at least for a few more years.

For the uninitiated, Piers Morgan and Ricky Gervais are British celebrities who’ve crossed the tub and made it big in US of A.

But you know what they say? You can’t really hold a good man down. Piers Morgan too crossed over to America and has since managed to create a highly successful career in US TV, interviewing celebrities and winning the US version of Celebrity Apprentice.

Although Ricky Gervais crossed over to America and most of his career has since been in America, he has craftily managed to retain popularity in UK too. Ricky Gervais however caused considerable controversy because of his habit of cracking jokes at the expense of established Hollywood celebrities. Ricky Gervais seemed not to have learnt from his past mistake and ended up making a similar mistake yet again when he hosted the Golden Globes 2010.

Piers Morgan on the other hand is involved in a number of celebrity feuds including that with Ian Hislop, (presenter of “Have I Got News for You”), Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear), and, Lord Sugar (“The Apprentice”). In fact, things have got to such a head that he has banned Madonna and Heather Mills from his chat show.

Ricky Gervais has some very staunch celebrity pals, including Jon Stewart, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington. Ricky Gervais’s habit of cracking jokes at the expense of Hollywood Celebes it seems, is generally liked by all who feel it is done in good taste. Besides, Hollywood celebrities must stop taking themselves too seriously.

Piers Morgan too, especially after the launch of his chat show, has some nice selection of fans. The Kardashians, Gene Simmons, Hugh Hefner and Oprah Winfrey have all given him their stamp of approval.

In May of 2010, Joe Jonas confirmed rumours that he was planning to release a solo album. The album is yet to be released. As an actor, Joe Jonas has many roles to his resume. He guest starred in a Hannah Montana episode, along with his two brothers. The three brothers also filmed a Disney movie called Camp Rock, where they play a band named “Connect Three”. Joe is the lead singer of the band in the move, “Shane Gray”. The group released the soundtrack to the movie back in 2008, and when it premiered it was a success with both fans and crytics. So much of a success, in fact, that in 2008 Disney released the sequel to the movie: “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”.

Joe Jonas, along with his two brothers, also starred in a reality show called “Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream”, that was also released by the Disney Channel back in 2008. The show followed the brothers’ lives and especially their tour called “Look Me In The Eyes”. In 2010, the reality show was released for a second season, and this time it followed the three brothers around in their European Tour of 2009.

Joe once again starred in a Disney feature, again with his two brothers. This time, the movie was called JONAS, and it followed the three around as they played a pop band trying to live “under the radar” as normal teenagers. The show has only had one season released so far, however the second season’s filmings started in February of 2010, and it is expected to be released soon.

Joe guest starred as a judge on the popular celeb tv show American Idol. He, along with the other judges, oversaw the auditions in Dallas. He has also made an appearance in a music video by Vampire Weekend. Guest starring by Joe Jonas continues in 2010 with his appearance on the “Hot In Cleveland” show by TV Land.
